Most homestay scams look exactly like a normal booking — “pay first, then I send the address.” The safe check: paste the owner's bank account number or phone into PDRM's official scam checker, SemakMule. If it's been reported, you'll see it.

- • Ask for the homestay name and a video/live location, not just an address.
- • Be wary of prices far below the going rate.
How Anjung works: we're a directory — you book directly with the owner over WhatsApp. We never take payment or commission. Always pay through a traceable channel and check the owner on SemakMule first. Map pin is approximate (town-level); confirm the exact location with the owner.
“Muslim-friendly” here follows MOTAC's MFAR idea: a prayer space (surau/sejadah, qibla marked), halal-safe kitchen, and no alcohol on the premises. Owner-stated facilities show with a ~ until we confirm them.
