Most homestay scams look exactly like a normal booking: “pay first, then I send the address.” The safe check: paste the owner's bank account number or phone into PDRM's official scam checker, SemakMule. If it's been reported, you'll see it.

- • Ask for the homestay name and a video/live location, not just an address.
- • Be wary of prices far below the going rate.
